Our Story

About

The Village School is a place to learn and be creative from the comfort of your own home. A series of beautifully shot online workshops and learning experiences that will take you on a journey into the lives of inspirational artists, creatives and artisans. As well as learning skills in these well-paced masterclasses, you’ll also gain an insight into our charismatic mentors’ homes, workspaces and influences. These are more than just workshops – these are lessons for life.

Our carefully curated roster of mentors explore food & drink, creative & business, health & wellbeing and education.

Our easy-to-follow pre-recorded courses range from 1.5hrs to 3 hours in length, broken down into manageable chapters, and can be taken at your own pace. You’ll have lifelong access so you can return to them next week, next year or even next decade! We also provide a class toolkit with templates, reading lists and recommended tools of the trade.

We’re here to help you on your journey whether you’re looking for a hobby, exploring career options, seeking some ‘me time’ or looking for a thoughtful gift.

Supporting Independent

There’s no doubt we’re in the midst of some very strange times. The creative industries have been hit hard by the impact of Covid-19. Every cloud has a silver lining and something that has warmed us to the core is how communities have rallied around and supported local and independent businesses. It’s important as ever to continue that narrative, to help steady economies and ensure the creative industries can continue to thrive. The Village School is a small family-run business and only work with small, independent individuals and businesses to deliver our courses. Our aim is to provide a stable income to our mentors that will allow them to continue to do what they do best in the real world.

Every course booked is a show of support and recognition of the importance of the arts and creative industries.

Why Learn?

It’s so easy to fall into a rhythm – work, family, home life and repeat. We believe that for a healthy mind, body and soul we should never stop learning.
